2026 Golf Scramble

The L-P School Foundation held a fundraising golf scramble on Sunday, April 26 at Pleasant Hill Golf Course.  The event was attended by 23 foursomes of golfers and raised over $5,000 for the Foundation.

Coffee and donuts were served before the 10 am shotgun start.  Lunch after the event included burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks.  Every golfer received a door prize.  Two gift baskets were auctioned at the end of the event.

The team captained by Austin Burkepile placed first among the men, and they donated half of their $200 prize back to the Foundation.  The team captained by James Coey placed first in the mixed category.

Proximity prizes were awarded to Johnny Gerhart for the longest putt by men on Hole 13; Amy Jarvis for the longest putt by women on Hole 18; Ryan Conway for the longest drive by men on Hole 9; Jen Allerding for the longest drive by women on Hole 16; Tyler Egut for closest to water on Hole 1; James Coey for closest to driveway on Hole 4; and Mike Goudy for closest to pin on Hole 8.

The Foundation thanks these local businesses for donating gift cards and door prizes: Advance Auto, Black Fork Bistro, Blackbird Records, Creative Outlet, East of Chicago Pizza, Four Seasons, Gnat and Bee Apothecary, Golf Ball Manufacturing, Harris Automotive, NAPA Auto Parts, Pizza Hut, River Run Canoe Livery, Shrivers Pharmacy, and White Pine Salon.

The Foundation thanks the 91 golfers who supported this event, the 45 area businesses and organizations that purchased sponsorships, and the Pleasant Hill Golf Course for their warm hospitality.  Special thanks go to GBM Golf for their donation of custom golf balls and tees.  Extra special thanks go to Jeff Frankford for all his work to make this event an overwhelming success.

The Foundation plans to make this an annual event.  Please mark your calendars and join us on April 25, 2027.  To get a reminder next year, send an email with the words “golf outing” to support@lpschoolfoundation.org.
